Formatted what i thought was c: last night... Its the first partition on the first derive in my PC...windows 98 thought C: was in fact E:!!!!! My backup HDD is now empty! 40gb of data GONE! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked2.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burningmad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif Absolute nightmare!

Can i recover the data from it or is it completely gone?

Yes you can recover the data if you have the right tools. Don't do anything else with that drive until you are ready to recover it.

BTW WTF are you running Windows 98 its really really [censored].
