Hello guys,
My car is in need of a cambelt change, so just got off the phone to my local Audi main dealer, Chingford.
As per Audi's website they have quoted a new cambelt at £329. They recommended a water pump change too at an extra £70.
I asked the lady in their service department if this £329 was for the belt only, and she said it was for the entire cambelt kit, which includes tensioners etc.
So that's £399 all in.... for everything.
Done a bit of searching on here and other internet sites and from what I can see prices range from about £500 upwards for the same, and some audi dealers charge £800-£900!!
Also seen some write that the £329 is for the cambelt only, not the cambelt kit.
Anybody else used an Audi main dealer for a cambelt change, how much was it, and was the £329 for the belt only?
Sorry but £399 from Audi for the lot just sounded a bit too good to be true
