VAGCOM 00812 - Brake Pressure Release Solenoid (F84)

I know there's a VAGCOM forum but I tend to get a quicker response on here

I have the above fault code relating to my brakes and wondered if someone can please translate the text from the following link into english for me.

Cheers for that mate. My issue is intermitant and not quite the same as above so I'll keep an eye on it. I'll grab a brake switch if it comes back.

Thanks for posting this Westle.
My car has had this fault since the day i got it. Garage was talking about replacing the master cylinder etc etc and i thought i was going to be spending £££££££.

Can't believe that it's something this simple.

When my car is back on the road i'll be getting this sorted asap.

No worries mate. Start with the brake switch as this switch tends to go anyway and causes a whole host of issues. If that doesn't fix it then it's back to the drawing board.
