Using non-sport shocks on T-sport.

The front shocks on my T-sport are leaking so I went on ebay and bought some Koni adjustables for a good price. In my haste I didn't read the advert properly and subsequently discovered they were for 1.6/1.8 non-sport models -d'oh!
As I'm on a budget and i can't find koni adjustables for 1.8t as cheaply, can I use them anyway? Would I need to change the springs to non-sport spec?

have you looked to see if they are the same? if so do they fit properly, then they would probably be the same part number anyway.

Well the part No is 87-2571 and I just looked at the koni catalogue and the 1.8t is part no. 8710-1337 sport.
