If a car hasnt got ANPR in it (most dont) and you're not drawing attention to yourself to warrant a check on your car then your car wont get checked. There's not enough hours in the day to check every single car that gets driven past.
Been stopped about 5 times personally. 3 of them in the s3 within the space of two weeks. One of them in the middle of Brixton by a riot van. Made me stand out my car till they radio'd for someone to bring the breathaliser machine vwhen I asked why I'd been stopped they said because of my age(24) at the time, my car (s3) and my colour (brown!). Not impressed by the filth atall!
Got nothing to do with your generic attitude towards the law at all then? Unless the riot van had blues and twos on the top they couldn't have legally pulled you over anyway...
It wouldnt be a riot van if it didnt mate
Anyway, blues dont have to be on the roof to enable a stop
Potential for me getting confused with pursuit and stop?
No mate, our plain cars at work dont have roof bars, just light up like a christmas tree at the push of a button. If you end up in the middle of a pursuit then it's a lot different to a routine stop...mainly about 80mph closing speed different
Yeah, but if its not got blues and twos at all I mean (IE, not an unmarked car)? Like the transit vans that you see knocking about and stuff like that, they can't stop you at all can they?
By the steamed up windows it was blatently clear what i was doing
Klapp are you always in basingstoke then, thought prawn was in portsmouth? you driving his car regulary and that?
I was stopped once in nuneaton after coming out a night club in my fiesta.

Well, out of the car park then. I understand why they stopped me. Was just my first time being stopped!Well there's your main problem, unless it's a drive through night club.
I agree with rav. I think some officers get abit too power mad and think that they are the law thus thinking they can treat people with disrespect and maintain that authoritarian figure. They're there to help, not to blame, thats the courts job. Not all officers are like that, just the odd few that think that their badge means they're bigger and better than the public. And also if i do have an attitude with the "law" how does this justify their actions and comments?
I used to have a Mk1 Escort Twin cam rally car with white squares on the doors, flared arches and a roll cage. I got stopped regularly and kept a tally up to 43 times when I gave up counting. Most of the time, after they were satisfied it wasn't stolen, they just wanted a chat about the engine. I didn't mind as I'd like to think if it did get stolen it would get stopped. I kept all my documents with me to avoid producers of course!
