Best oil 2.4 v6

I'm sure this will of been asked a few times before but here go's,

1998 R reg 2.4 V6 with 130,000 miles on the clock what's the best oil to use?

Also what plugs should I go for? Standard, iridium, any paticular make? Thanks again.

NGK Copper plugs here.

I'd be using 5w40 synthetic oil
