Light Smoke Tints! Comments Please

Depends how much light passes in the front of the B pillar!

light tints may be acceptable but is usualy at the discretion of Plod once and if pulled over.

Nopes, even the lightest tint will fail. The manufacturers OEM tints (you know the greenish or blueish tint on most cars) blocks about 15-20% apparently...

I know its the law to have 70% light to pass, but I did say "may pass".

It depends on the local Bill and MOT station weather you get nailed or not! This in my opinion is passes my MOT is acceptable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

An here i was thinking he was talking about smoked clusters!!! Yes i think light tints look good, Say a medium to light but more towards light, not too dark!

Plan to get them done myself eventually.

Is it illegal to get a lightly tinted sunstrip??? Like the kind you find on mercs? Like 4-5 inches from the top of the windscreen just say?

Sunstrips are fine, unless they are a foot and a half thick, and Burberry patterned...

Here is a pic of mine. Mine allow 70% in, they are 30% tints all round, it just makes the back look darker because of the rear window.
