A4 Avant rear wiper stopped working due to bike rack!

Unfortunately i must have left the rear wiper on after fitting our bike rack. The wiper is stuck halfway up the rear screen and doesn't move when i use the stalk to turn the wiper on/off. I've tried looking for a blown 15A fuse in both the rear luggage fuse area to the RHS as you open the boot and to the RHS of the dash - the fuses seem fine unless i'm looking for the wrong one or should be looking elsewhere? Any thoughts on how to solve this please? Thanks

Fuse carrier A (black) in the drivers side front fuse box. Fuse 14 (15A) which is one of the vertical fuses. Second from the top. Has that blown?

Strip out the tailgate trim to investigate. Get a multi-meter on the 12v supply at the motor, could be the nylon cog has stripped internally. It's a Valeo part - and plenty on Ebay. There's a part-number sticker on the motor - so replace like for like.
