Hi I have a Audi A6 3l Stronic issue.I bought car few days ago.I noticed that when I stop with brakes I get a small judder.Could someone please help if gearbox is faulty or more tested I can do to find out if is faulty,?
Thanks

Could be the haldex unit at fault. I would take car back to them and get them to agee to cover the cost of a inspectin at audi and then see what faults are foumd by them and then it could be a different conversation as to who picks up a possilbe repair bill

no haldex in the c7, proper awd with a Torsen centre diff.
Stronic gearboxes can be a bit notchy at slow speeds but never had any issues with mine even at 60+ks. Could be a sign the gearbox needs serviced. It needs done very 38k.

You need to give us more information. Mechatronic units can go faulty.
As AlS3BE says, the gearbox need servicing every 38k.

Wasnt sure it did have a haldex but same idea it gets serviced & to determine if its at fault. Bmw get the same issue you explained aswell as rangerover so defo go down transmission route

What’s the mileage on that car?
I know some of these dsg boxes going 150k+ without needing clutch plates. Most common thing is normally the mechatronics giving up.

Thats good you know whats needed now. What age isit it could be possible for it to be covered under warranty or good will if the place you bought it from are playing hard with you

Hi the milage is 124000 it was when I fully stopped shortly afterwards it felt like something shunted the car and I could feel it through the brake pedal also.

Only the bitdi got the zf torque converter box

Is the electroplate kit a torque converter?

Don’t think it is. No torque converter in stronic boxes. It’s similar to manual gearboxes with flywheel and clutch plates. Only difference is the computer changes gears and not you.
Electroplate kit sounds like it’s something to do with the mechatronics unit. Maybe a repair kit or service kit.

Thats good you got the money back you now know what to look amd feel for in amy future autos. You will need to show everyone your new car once you get it
