Zero issues on the 8V.

my 8v RS3 was spot on too ... well after 3 sets of brake discs but that was a component issue tbf.
but that aside the car was otherwise faultless.

Ditto, mine has been solid for almost 3 years, first car I've had where the magic felt tape hasn't come out.Zero issues on the 8V.

Lol I wish I could, for the rattle behind the steering wheel (it’s the plastic trim when I push it in it stops) even with music on 50/75% and pan roof open can still hear it creaking . So so so annoyingpossibly the best way rather than have them dismantle your car & risk generating more rattles.
at least with the RS you can drown it out with the engine, failing that the sound system
Yeah most definitely mate. Either way, gonna have it sent it next month and let them see what they can do. Cars a month old and for 60k 4/5 different rattles and squeaks isn’t on imo, other than that car is amazing! Looking forward to seeing all you guys take delivery in 2022!Build materials are not of the same standard as in the 8v but the niggles you speak of....a lot 8v owners including myself suffered from this...especially in cold or really warm weather....ie the plastic retracts in cold weather and expands in warm weather....most annoying one was at the driver door armrest l was surprised it was still in one piece after l had by force given it the Spanish Archer....that many times so f@@king annoying ...only AUDI av had that was squeak /rattle free was my TT and that had firmest suspension....or on the other hand your car being one of the first....could be the reason....but l am sure time will tell as the complaint Threads slowly but surely mount up as more and more folks take ownership
Maybe 2023 after autotrader gets floded with themYeah most definitely mate. Either way, gonna have it sent it next month and let them see what they can do. Quality is definitely not as good as previous gens. I have a speaker that rattles on the left side of the dash, squeaky bit on drivers door where your elbow would rest, drivers door speaker rattles, ANNOYING squeak when driving sounds like on the plastic behind the steering wheel which is pretty much constant
Yep its 8y cars problemThis will drive me insane, sounds like my Honda. If this becomes a known issue I’ll be cancelling

See how things settle down a bit, creaks, squeaks and rattles come and go, but they can also be sorted fairly easily.Yeah most definitely mate. For the modern hard plastics, a little trim detailer can solve a world of issues, almost acts like a lubricant.
Should we have to do this? Probably not, but we're still talking a mass produced car from a price range starting off well below 60k. I've been in brand new £200k plus cars that rattle and brand new £9k cars that don't, just one of them things, especially on UK roads.
As mentioned before, personally, if mine rattles I'll be sorting it myself. Much more chance of stuff getting sorted (without damage or further rattles) and less hassle in the long run in my experience.
