Beeping noise just after engine is turned off

I have an S3 saloon. When I turn the engine off, I'm pretty sure I can hear a dull beeping noise shortly after the engine has been killed. It sounds like the beeps are coming from the engine compartment and only last for approximately 5 sec. Am I loosing the plot?!!!

Nope - mine does it as well; its just the flux capacitor cooling down!
