ESP/Boost troubles

Got second hand 2008 A3 couple days ago. Started driving yesterday and felt very sluggish, so i took it up to higher revs and the glow plug light starts flashing. Took to garage and got code '00065 - Boost pressure regulator control range not reached'. Went to take it back to the garage today and dash said 'ESP Fault - See owner's manual'. Anyone have any idea what kinda problem i'm looking at here, or are these issues related?

Could be quite a few things. The fault code is 000665 not 00065 .

First thing is to check for boost leaks, holes or splits in the boost hoses or hoses not attached properly.It's a very common code so doing a search will result in a lot of hits. I have to ask did you not drive it before you bought it ? .

Typo lol, but yeah I did, all seemed fine at the time then all of a sudden this happened. Apparently it's also blowing out at the manifold so this doesnt sound too good.
