I looking to replace my 19" tyres and have been reading posts about tyres and people talk about having the ao tyre for the car, does all the suppliers make an ao tyre or is this only continetal as fitted to my car?? or is tis not important???? thanks

I'm a big fan of Michelin tyres and they do Audi-specific tyres as do most other brands.
Use the likes of Kwik-fits website to quickly find the makes available (although I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than buy from them).

The AO marking denotes Audi Original. Basically it's been through homologation process for OE fitment.
However, it could be OE for any model in the line up so it really doesn't make much odds.

I'm running R01 fitment P Zero in 235/35Y19 and they're awesome. The R01 denotes OE fitment on RS models.

sorry parts bloke at audi said ao, it helped suit the car better in handling/comfort etc? :blahblah1:
I wasnt sure!!

Well that is a bunch of rubbish....Pirelli and Michellin have XL load tyres for 235/35Y/19...the AO is irrelevant.
