Wiper motor part number

I need to replace my wiper motor soon. The thing doesn't always stay off when the stalk is in the off position! Oddly though is that it'll be perfectly fine on intermitent.

Does anyone have handy the part number? It's for 52 reg A3. Or would it be best to take it out just to make sure?

they run on brushes to make the connection instead of normal wire. these wear, and intermitant will be different brushes to normal wipe

wiper motors are by far the most complicated electrical system on a car.

Your not babbling! You have helped a lot actually, I have been scratching my head wondering why intermittent works fine but only the off position is playing up. Thats makes a lot of sense.

Buying a new wiper motor may solve the problem of the wipers sitting high up the screen when doing 60mph+ with intermittent on. Maybe they have just had their day...

Thanks luke, altthough I think that may be the rear wiper motor. I need the front one. At least thats whats coming up online.
