If you want the one that's out now order it. No point always waiting to see if a new whatever it is is coming you'd never buy anything.
It will get face lifted but how and when no one can say for sure until mr Audi announces it to the world maybe they won't do it at all on the rs3 and just stop production until the next model or do saloon only??
I'm worried about this, my car starts build on April 4th, before the rumoured week 22 facelift.
I've seen the RS3 sedan shots and I have to say I'm not keen on the lights and new bumper so this isn't the issue for me.
What is the issue is if the facelift gets the rumoured 400PS! Now that would **** me off!
I have an 8P RS3 currently so I want this new car to feel like an update, now I find it may be an old model as soon as I take delivery, hmmpphh!
I only ordered a month ago and was expecting September 66 plate delivery, suddenly I'm now looking at May delivery!! I was over the moon at first but now I have no idea if I will be forking out 47K for an old/underpowered model or not!
Yep, April 4th! I have confirmed this is the case with my dealer too. Order will be cancelled if I find out they are upping the power too.
When do you think the details will be announced? All the dealers claim they don't know anything!!
All the discussions lead me to think there will be no 8V RS3 Sportback facelift. Why worry, even if it is facelifted it will be minor I reckon and the TFT dash is not to my liking. A few tweaks here and there doesn't worry me,
Are you mad, the whole of ASN know exactly what the facelift will look like and when it will arriveWhat if you don't like the facelift and your stuck with it?

TX.
That's very true but nobody will say anything!
well this is interesting....

So likely TTRS first then ... get all the big hype for a launch car buzz about the revised engine etc ... then duplicate this for the RS3.
@Foxtrot_Oscar - Sorry. We can't merge threads as its mess's around with the Forum operating system / software@Bristle Hound could you merge all the threads you locked together into one facelift thread as we are now missing good information that was in the other threads.
So datedI am looking to order an RS3 around August time which i though would have been ready for delivery early part of 2017, my Audi dealer has now told me that they have completely stopped production but he is convinced there will not be a facelift version. He did tell me that i could not order a car now so he was not just trying to get me to commit to the current shape. He did say the orders should be back open again in a month or so and he will keep me updated. He was the RS specialist at this particular branch. It does not however make sense that they would facelift the S3 and not the RS3, why would they want the flagship model looking dated?
Does anyone know how the A45 AMG compares as i have only test driven the RS3 (last weekend) i will try the A45 tomorrow!!!
It drives really well. To me it feels more nimble and 'chuck-able' than the RS3 but has less low-end pull and nowhere near the 'theatre' of the 5cyl.Does anyone know how the A45 AMG compares as i have only test driven the RS3 (last weekend) i will try the A45 tomorrow!!!
Buddy I have stated this on another thread and will restate for your benefit.I bought a facelift M3 in Sept(the facelift was in July)and sold it 4 mts later.Nobody I phoned to trade it in gave a monkeys whether it was a facelift or not.The changes are so minor normally that it really doesn't make a difference but if you want to whip yourself into a frenzy about it then be my guest. It's not ugly so don't get it twisted! I would but mind one, especially that Nardo Grey with the black pack. Sexy! But if they release a facelift within weeks this one will look dated and lose 5k in value. That's my point!

Front seats are excellent but, by comparison to the S3/RS3, the Merc interior is cheap and shouty and proportions for rear pax are woeful. Audi interior feels classier & dare I say more grown-up in both form and function.
2nd choice for me for a bunch of niggly/subjective reasons. Have fun checking it out!
Thanks for the advice. I test drove the A45 2 hours ago and I can confirm it was not in the same league. I can understand if it was 10k cheaper but it just didn't have the quality to warrant the price. Quick yes but you need to rev the granny of it. Not as much grunt down low. On PCP for the new facelift they wanted £750 a month! No chance.
