Was chatting to the dealer this week contemplating trading in my A3 sometime in March ‘when the new model will hopefully be out’. He replied the ‘new model’ will merely be a facelift.
Anyone have any details on this? I’ve read online (Auto Express) that there will be a new generation (ie not a facelift) A3 announced later this year for release in 2019.
I suspect it was BS from the dealer as he’s likely got existing stock he wants rid of before the new tax and emissions regs potentially affect sales in September. The current model, facelift aside, is now six years old so is getting near the end of the production line I would have thought.
Which leads me nicely to the next question. Should I take advantage of the hypothetical stock car, assuming it’s loaded to the hilt with options and comes with a hefty discount or wait till next year and see what happens with the ‘new’ A3?
