The s3 is impressively economical for the power. About time we got a Defender update?!

thats it mate, 310bhp AWD and can regularly achieve 40mpg. cant knock that.

light bar and reversing lights just landed but can't see them getting wired up before xmas, will have to wait and see.
and after they are on that might be it for a while, will eventually be doing double din unit, and improving the sound system, but im gonna leave that for now as i don't want to rush through and run out of bits to do!

nah, haven't missed it one bit, not to say i didn't like the car, was great and everything i wanted.
just getting out with the dogs when possible and tinkering with the landy is much more fulfilling for me.

but yeah, 30mpg tops, and more 25-28 realistically in my area, sups' like a trooper

First proper pics I’ve got of my new S3

Shame the car is dirty after two days of owning it but it’s booked in for a full ceramic coating in January which should help with maintenance.

Looking good. I love the chrome on white think it looks better than the black trims. What wheels did you get? Some of the new ones looked great.
Doesn’t look like they made any visual tweaks for the MY19/post wltp.

Just the bog standard 18” twin spoke wheels.

I have some 19” Speedline splits to go on once winter is out of the way anyway so wasn’t too concerned about the wheels. 19” V spokes would have been nice but as they decided that you can’t spec 19s without Mag-ride then I gave them a miss.

The chrome is growing on me for sure, only changes are hidden I’m afraid. New model is out end of next year I believe or early 2020 so Audi wouldn’t be tweaking the looks again until the whole new A3 appears.

Audi tweaked the a6 c7 fl with newer bumper grills so there was a mild facelift within the facelift think a year or so before the c8 came out. Nothing else changed. That’s why I was expecting some, even very small, to show a post wltp car especially after all that dieselgate nonsense.

This was taken on the road between Tornapress and Applecross. I'm told that this is one of the highest roads in Scotland although I'm sure those more familiar will correct me if I'm wrong. Unfortunately this photo was taken 35 minutes before I got a puncture and now have the space saver on. I'm always surprised at how a comfortable 'cruiser' this car can be.

Today was the first day I thought... Great.. The roads now have salt and grit everywhere.. Great..

Had a load of it fly at me when I was going to overtake an AMG A45 who was sitting behind another car, 30 in a 50. I moved out to overtake and as was accelerating he decided to do the same. Good thing the car hadn't knocked down a gear as otherwise I'd have been much closer to him! But anyway as he took off I got a load of crap flying towards me.. Bad sound.

However his car didn't seem to make much noise as he accelerated away. Res delete and valves open and I was much louder

That explains it then....although was a bit confusing at first.
When people post in thumbnail form all you need to do is click on it and it opens up bigger.

Bit of a pretentious statement that mate, my wee mums A1 has the same alloys as my S3 but in 18 inch size it doesn't bother me, the Audi RS4 and RS5 have the same alloys as above ergo

Bugs me too and Audi are bad for this.
I got my previous car, S5 BE, and it had Rotors on it, then they started putting them on everything across the range.
A guy at work got a 1.8 A5 the same colour as mine and it came with Rotors too. Looked almost the same apart for the number of exhausts.
