On another note but still relevant l frequently visit my local Audi dealership ie Hamilton Audi and l was totally surprised by how many newly registered/unregistered cars they had on their forecourt....loads of A3 S-lines,A1 = all models ....forecourt was full of them the busiest I've seen it since the flu.
But not one S/RS car to be seen ergo

Couple of cars are on their way to members, otherwise allocated "estimated or no" slots in late 2022 now being pushed into early 2023. Not surprisingly, not too many (x2) YouTube videos of RS3 being picked/delivered around the Globe. Therefore apart from the Launch editions, its very quiet across the world for new RS3s.

@garethdj should be picking up his car this week. Pictures pls.
@jaypers777 , should be landing in UK soil this week.
@3vans [finally] and @billymc92 have had their BW confirmed and status 20. (Confirmed).
*** Interestingly, @3vans was has the earliest FACTORY order entry on our little spreadsheet for a RS3 8Y. Patiently waiting almost a year.
Few are now getting their orders slotted into early 2023, including Vorsprung orders placed in 2021 August. 15+,month wait time.
Getting a feel, the volumes of car being manufactured for UK appears to be slowing down, instead of the expected ramp-up for the 2nd half of the year. (lets hope my crystal ball gaze is wrong).

I have written to both the MD of Audi UK & MD Audi HQ Germany and it would be hard to find more pathetic response from someone who by their own addmissions had the power to act??? Audi Germany said it is down to Audi UK .....Audi UK said they have no control of build weeks or dealers selling cars for inflatted prices while genuine orders continue to be left unfulfilled.

Whenever I ask for an update, my dealer always sends me an image of my order, which includes the order numbers etc.. I think they do it as proof they're not messing with orders, maybe ask to see a copy of it?

You should asked for your build assignment number if only to confirm it in your own mind

You will be able to change the colour as you aint got a confirmed build date but l doubt you'll get away without paying the extra £200 but again what's £200 these days not a lot

Did you ever get a “Confirmed Build week” or were these just unconfirmed?
Mine was due to be built week 26 so I have asked for an update as I haven’t heard anything yet!

In the past prior to the Flu/Rasputin a build week given was a confirmed build week l can state this as fact with the TTS l ordered...it went like clock work
Everyone's build date since the Uk's order books opened for the 8Y and every other Audi model are all unconfirmed till 4 weeks prior to it getting built
For example unconfirmed week 10 will only become confirmed in week 6 onwards ...so anytime prior to build week 6....$hit happens

Not good at all, myself and the dealer had the feeling early orders for Vorsprung were put into a holding hole (bin) as timeframe for Vorsprung was not published and then forgotten, while later cars ordered were being delivered as long as they were saloons. At the time of me cancelling my order in June 2022, placed on 13th Aug 2021, still had no build week allocated. Like many others here email/phone-call to Audi UK was a total waste of effort and excuses given were like a broken record. Audi Germany, just pushed it back on UK, all the while cars to dealers were being delivered and then appearing on Autotrader was totally unbelievable and leads to the conclusion that something else is at play on top of the chip & parts shortage.
Ordered a replacement for my wife's focus, had to wait 7 months for a Toyota produced in France, while there enquired about the GR Yaris, which had a lead time on year+ and a waiting list.
Just hope, it gets better in 2023 for Car manufacturing.

I recommend you put your location in Newcastle for anyone that want's to put a new order in.

Im not sure that's the case given I ordered mine just down the road in sunny Teesside and mines looking at about a year from Order to delivery, given my Nov expected delivery atm.

Not sure what you mean by that. I was talking about people who ordered when the books opened not having build weeks yet while others have ordered an received the same spec cars in the space of a few months. In the UK.

After 17 years I'm back (I had an 8L S3) looking for a hot hatch again with permission of the other half, and went to Glasgow Audi to see about an RS3 SB . Nope.
Sat in Q3. Wife didn't like it.
So RS3 got the go ahead. If she's hating both, I can pick.

Can I Order. Sure.
When. About a year.
So I tell him I'll do my research and come back
Then I see this thread and I'm not confident of seeing a car even after a year (which I'm not willing to wait. I have a life limiting condition)
So trigger on the Overton Daytona on Autotrader pulled. Ridiculous price but I'm hoping to get it by Mid Sept. I'm told it's BW30.

I'm hoping I like it. I've not even seen one IRL.

I FIND SOME CLUE IS WHEN OPTION SELECT UNLIMITED SPEED TO 180 MILES, WILL GOT A BIG DELAY TO 2023.

HOW R U BROS THINK?

Higher the spec = longer the delay is the formula at play. Being Left hand drive "may" help in the timescales.

The time drags and I found myself even trying to track car transporters!! Not long now though.

Do you have anything planned in the way of paint protection/detailing etc? Proper stage 1 correction and ceramic protection makes so much difference.
