Currently have a S3 2009, want to change to an S5 and been looking at 2017 and 2018. Most I look at have the B8 engine. Should I go for B9 instead and if so how do I go about finding one in that year range ?
Before you try anything else, a tip is to try repeatedly thumping the inside of the door with the side of your fist as close to the lock as possible whilst a friend tries to unlock with the remote plus operating the exterior and interior door handle repeatedly.

My S3 rear passenger will not open. It's been to two places now and no avail. I've been told it's potentially the door module and it's 500 to get it fixed. There is a but,... if they break the door card whilst they try and take it off due to the door not opening. It may have an additional cost...
Because the door won't open, it's locked shut. He might have to remove the inside trim from the door in a closed position. But he will try taking the outer seal and get in from there with a long rod. The trim is the red S3 leather interior door card etc....
So I couldn't see any broken wires etc
