Hi mate just thought I would jump in and say I cleaned my turbo using the Mr muscle method and it worked really well, it's now a year on from me doing it and I have not had a single limp mode or any power loss at all. Easy to do as well.
Hi all, I will be fitting my stainless exhaust system at the weekend and just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to get to the downpipe bolts as they look pretty tucked away.
I have a 1.9tdi pd130 ASZ
Any advice greatly appreciated
Apparently on diesels it uses the ecu torque method to calculate the bhp so I'm assuming if the torque is increased the bhp will follow.
I've been planning on getting a remap once I've fitted my stainless exhaust and upgraded intercooler, will getting a remap cause any problems if it already has...
Hi all I have just installed a race diagnostics liquid gauge in my pd130 and I've noticed the bhp and torque figures are both around 25 above standard.
Is this just the accuracy of the gauge or would you say it's been remapped??
The only modification I have done is egr delete.
All opinions and...
Hi mate, I have fitted an s3 spoiler to my a3, firstly I cut the lugs off the underside, then chiseled and sanded them flat, then just used some tiger seal to glue it on, that's was over a year ago and it's still solid. Hope this helps
Hi all just sorted one problem and immediately discovered another, every time I hit a large bump in the road I'm hearing a metal on metal banging together noise from the front right, just wondered if anyone had any ideas what to look for, thanks
Just a quick update if anybody is interested, tried the method of jacking the car up getting it up to speed then checking for vibrations using a long screwdriver (excellent method by the way). It was definitely the front left so changed the bearing and no more noise or vibrations :)
Thanks for...
That's brilliant cheers mate, much appreciated, that will be the first job of the weekend.
Tyres are wearing pretty much the same, no obvious difference anyway.
Will be back on soon to report my findings.
All wheels have been checked and are solid. Is it worth changing the bearing then even though there is no play in the wheel?
As it is definitely a low droning type sound, it almost sounds like the wheel isn't properly round because it's not a constant sound.
Thought about the bearing, but most people have told me the bearing would be a high pitched noise rather than a rumble, also I have checked for any play but there is nothing obvious.
Yeh I had all the pulleys and belts changed at my last service. It sounds like really bad road noise, I tried switching with another alloy but still same noise same place. Could a worn clutch or flywheel cause this noise through the wheel?
