Ok think I have fixed it fingers crossed!
It came on yesterday morning on the way to work, at sometraffic lights I turned engine off and straight back on, the light went out. I then pressed the ESP button to turn traction control on and off 4 times and it has come back on since! Done about 60...
I have to say, Im 99% certain it came on this morning while i wasnt breaking but I will check on way home tonight and confirm 100% tomorrow, so I guess that rules out that problem?
im planning on selling the car soon so I dont want to spend much on it!
Is ther any way of getting the light to go out?
Remove a fuse or something?
Im in Lutterworth Leicestershire and work in Oadby Leicester if anyone near me has VCDS?
Thanks
Adam
I normally drive the car with just me in it, but On Saturday on the way to the football there was 4 guys in the car! Thats when it first came on!
Could that be anything to do with it?
Hi all,
I have a 2000 A3 1.8 T-Sport Qauttro and since last week 2-3 minutes after start up the traction control light comess on and stays on.
Any ideas?
it never goes above 90, sometimes it sits between 80-90, sometimes its at 90 and other times its at 0. Never any other reading. I have recently had a new cambelt and water pump if that makes a difference.
Hi all,
My temp gauge seems to be playing up and I wanted to know if this is common?
Is it lightly to be the gauge or something more serious?
After car is warmed up sometimes it reads correctly at approx 80-90 degrees, other times it never moves from 0 even on a long run and other times it can...
It has just had a new cambelt and water pump and oil service as well as a new haldex filter and oil on the 4wd system. Other than the S3 rear spoiler car is totally standard and I live in the midlands.
After your advice ill probably advertise it at £3450 and look to get £3k!
Hi all,
Im thinking of selling my 2000 X Reg Audi A3 1.8T-Sport Quattro.
Its done 66,000 miles with full stamped service history.
2 Owners from New.
Black 5 door with S3 rear spoiler.
12 months MOT and 8 months Tax.
I was hoping to get £3000 for it?
Any thoughts?
Can someone please explain how to fit a forge 007p dump valve to a 2000 A3 1.8T Sport Quattro.
I now nothing about engines and when lifting the bonnet I have no idea where to even start so an idiots guide would be a great help!
Normally I would keep private messages private but I thought this guy needed exposing as I didnt like his style!
After reading up on this forum and speaking to R-Tech Im more than happy to give them my business, they seem a fantastic company.
Just got sent a private message from a guy who had read this thread, I personally think its a real cheap shot and a poor way to toute for business so I thought he should be exposed!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, many of thousands of people are more than happy with R-Tech maps and...
ok well thanks for the advice, I have purchased a forge 007 from the internet for £75, I just need a guide to fitting it now as im crap under the bonnet!
I really dont know where to start, is there a link to a thread that would show me how to do it?
is it easy to fit or do I need it doing by a mechanic?
They are available new on ebay for £75, is this a reasonable price?
(Im really crap at car diy by the way)
Thinking of going to R-Tech to get my 1.8TQ remapped for £250.
Before I book it in I was wondering if there is any downsides to having it done?
Can it put to much load on engine parts or turbo?
Can it cause any damage?
Or is it just all good....?
