As per the title. Car being sold on Friday (part-ex) - someone is going to get an absolute peach and perfect car. I will miss that roof down driving. Had a good time on this Forum - the knowledge and experience is absolutely fantastic. This is a good Site as well with regard ease of use...

    6 Month Roof Clean

My 6 month routine of shampoo'ing and water-proofing the roof completed this afternoon. This is the 3rd time I've done it now and the exercise is definitely getting quicker / easier. Just wish I could buy the Autoglym water-proofer bottle on its own instead of having to buy the full kit. Got...

New Tyres - Now ZR ??

Replaced the front tyres today from the originals: 235 / 35 R19 91Y The AO was clearly showing on the Tyre (as it still is on the rears). Replacements have "lost" the AO, although gained ZR. Now says: 235 / 35 ZR19 The 91Y is in in the smaller lettering on the tyre with brackets round it...

    Boot Trim coming away

Noticed that the boot trim was coming away from the metal yesterday. While surprised that this is happening within the first 1.5 years of ownership - never happened on any other car I've ever owned - I got down to some DIY fixing. Got some anti-drip Bostik Glue Gel and carefully put the glue...

    Busted Again - What's Going On ?!

Not Speeding this time (previous thread 35mph in a 30mph) but something called a Dart Charge - WTF !? It's some sort of road crossing (presumably near Dartford) which you have to pay for crossing in advance. Unlike the Severn Bridge where you have to stop and pay at the Toll, this seems some...

    Lumbar Support

Had a couple of long drives over the Christmas / New Year period. Couple of days later, my back (specifically around the Kidney Area) was aching. Didn't put the two together at first, although when it happened the second time realised that it must be the seating position. Fiddled round with...

    Busted.....my so bad

Been busted by the cops for speeding. :busted cop: 0724 hours in a sleepy village. Lovely sunny day, no traffic, no people, no movement except..... 1 lousy bike cop stood stock still on the side of the road with a Scamera in his hand. 35mph in a 30mph. I'm hoping I'm going to receive an...

    Trabi World

Just come back from Berlin and saw some Guys / Gals having shedloads of fun in Trabants. There's a "leader" at the front who tells them directions via radio and then they chug around behind. Chug is the right word - the amount of blue smoke coming out of the exhausts has to be seen to be...

    Dealer Survey

June Special Edition of Auto Express has an interesting Article on Page 7. Within the Article, there's a bit about their Driver Power Dealer Survey. Out of 32, Audi came 26. Ford came 27th.

    Upset S3 Owner

Driving along the M4 just passed Swansea and overtook an S3. Only doing 80mph, so nothing too fast. Coming to the end of the M4 and noticed said S3 suddenly "bombing" up behind me as we approached the roundabout. I duly pulled into the inside lane to go around the roundabout. S3 decides he's...

Sat Nav - How to turn off

Had the Sat Nav on to find a location that I hadn't been to before - it's a useful tool for this sort of thing !! Only had the Postcode, so Sat Nav quite rightly took me to that area. I found the address before the Sat Nav had stated "You've reached your Destination" or whatever the Audi...

    Car Cam

Just re-rigged my Car Camera up after watching Car Crash Britain. Fits nicely alongside the rear view mirror. Quite a few of the crashes / bashes were by vehicles being knocked into other innocent vehicles. Plenty of Nutter Lorry Drivers and Motorbikes featured of course. A lot of the people...

    Automatic Car Wash

Page 193 of the Owner's Manual indicates that you can take a Soft-Top through an Automatic Car Wash. I'd thought that Automatic Car Washes are off limits to me now, although am tempted to take the car through as it's currently covered in salt / grime / etc. Used a Manual Car Wash, although...

    Cabrio Hood

Hi, Haven't operated the Cabrio Hood for the last 2 months now due to the weather / temperature. Have previously had it down at least once each month since September. Will the Mechanism be okay with it not being opened, or should I at least try and open it once each month ?? Bit like the...

    GearBox Oil

"Apparently it is becoming common practice for car manufacturers to put in minimum levels of gearbox fluid when delivering." I've read the above statement on another Car Forum. The context relates to a "crunchy" 1st to 2nd Gear when cold Thread. Wonder if it's the same with Audi ?? Mine is...

    Unique Experience

Only had the car a month now, no a month and a half, and I've realised that I have stumbled upon a unique experience that I've only had with this car. Driving along a (looong) dual carriage and / or motorway by me, random cars will just pull out in front of me at the last minute and go slow...

    Fan Activation

Had the car a month now and have had 2 "major" Fan Activations at the end of the journey. The Fan is roaring away for a good 5 minutes - doesn't sound long, although seems longer when the Fan is going hell for leather. I've not been on long journeys, both were around 20 mins from start to stop-...

    Text Messages via Phone Set-Up

Hi, Eventually got my 'phone linked up via Bluetooth so that I can make calls (see other thread). Really good and you can even make calls with the roof down (was only 30mph at the time though). Thought it might be difficult to hear the person / for them to hear me, but no. Had a text come in...
