The sounds like the clutch pack, I replaced the mech unit and that didn’t change it, clutch packs done at £2.8k from memory and solves the issue. What’s reverse like, does it sometimes find it hard to engage/move, especially if facing downwards/forward on a hill? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, it’s a double clutch so £2500-2800 from memory... I also had a replacement mech but that didn’t fix it, the clutches did. Sold the mech on and never had any come back on it so assume that was never an issue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Who’s the warranty with, as most cover the mech unit? Hopefully that is the case as otherwise it could be the clutches, gearbox specialists can replace. Haven’t seen a manual but don’t think it’s too hard a job from what I hear... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New box will set you back over £10k, ridiculous cost. Mech unit replacement (which was the most common fault on early cars), between £3.5-£4K. A new box doesn’t come without this unfortunately but you would be able to sell your existing mech unit on if that wasn’t the issue. Clutch replacement...

Although it’s a known issue, they can probably get away with not doing anything for free due to the modifications you have, mods invalidate warranty for any relevant parts, so if anything impacting how the engine works, they’ll no doubt use that to deny payment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can find out from scanning it when in the car if it’s a new or old mech unit. It will list the part number as part of the full scan with something like carista. 8k1 is the new one 8k0 is the old one prone to failure (from memory) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I reckon she didn't realise the error was stored and you could detect how often it had been there. Sell it and plead ignorance...but then suddenly evidence proves you knew about it, you have to bite the bullet and sort it out vs facing a legal case. That's my opinion as she's been found out...

What's the actual fault then that audi will fix. Nice result, could have gone very wrong... S4 MRC Stage 2+ gone Stealth Black XFS now more sensible :)
