Check the wiring underneath the seat of the passenger side. Try reconnect the loosen connection there. It works for me thou.

my water pump went bad on 80,000KM so it's a good idea to replace the timing belt as well. Just got my car back yesterday and this Audi 8L works like a charm.

Thanks for this posting. I am going to do the same to remove the vent as there are so many sponge debris blowing off from inside the vent and making the interior really dirty. I am not sure if this scenario happens to you all and if so, how do you guys deal with that?
