Got some new wheels on the S3 and the old callipers are looking tired. I was thinking about getting them painted but wondered if this would just be papering over the cracks. I haven't got £1000's to spend on brakes, so brembo's are out and I wondered what everyone else has done with the same dilemma. I can stretch to a few hundred pounds to improve the look and performance. Please don't suggest those brembo plastic covers from Malaysia. :)

Just give the oem calipers a lick of paint in a colour of your choosing (Hammerite Smooth) and spend the money on uprated front discs and pads (standard rears).

Brembo Max discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads on mine, haven't painted the calipers yet.

Brembos are not out of the question mate, try bremboshop you can afford them. That should tidy it up loads.

Ah! Yes. Brembo discs. I was thinking about the callipers themselves. I'm not that fussed about Brembo discs TBH. However drilled and vented aftermarket suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
