Please help me!!! I want to hard wire my tomtom iPhone cradle into my 2004 1.8t cab. Bought the hard wire kit from tom-tom. Can someone tell me where I can run a switchable live from????

do you mean an ign live ? if so you can pick this up from the fuse box mate

Hate to sound thick, but how? Any pointers?? Don't want to cause any damage??

iv not done it on the audi myself but id say try and find the radio live mate can pick this up from the back of it or find the wier where it comes out of the fuse box by looking on the lid ie fuse 10 if that makes seens ;-)

If you pick-up on another live you'll need to replace that fuse with one of a slightly higher amp,,, if you lift up the gear-gaiter surround next to the 12v-cigar lighter, you could come off that live, depending where you want to mount the cradle, ie. centre console...
