Radio code

Hi all, I want to fit a Ipod interface into my B7 A4, now I guess I will need to disconnect the radio for this but I do not have codes for the radio, the car came with the wrong manual and nothing for the stereo. Is there a way of getting this code before I start the job?

it shouldnt loose its code
but it does happen sometimes
have a look on your service book and call the dealer that supplied the car sometimes they will tell you
other times they wont
my local dealer charges 30 to get the code but i have to take the car to them

If it's a straight unplug and plug back in then you'll be fine, just don't turn the ignition on with the radio disconnected as this sometimes confuses the CANBUS and can throw a fault.
