Hi everyone, got a torn cv joint on the inner passenger side on my a4, is this a big job to replace at a garage etc, or is it something i can tackle at home ?. any ideas on cost ?
cheers

Which side of the car?

Very much an easy job. Although I did the outer joints on our A6. The passenger side took less than 15 mins.

inner passenger side just got a quote of £85 inc vat
any gd ?

Not too bad. But it's easy enough to do on your own. I could unbolt it from the gearbox, push up towards the engine bay and pull out the shaft from the outer drive shaft.
Then work on it on a bench.
