Hi all,
Ive been have a couple! of issues with my recent TDi 170 Quattro purchase 6 weeks ago, then on Monday it was 100% fixed, then today, same problems
To recap, hesitated over 3k revs in 4/5/6th gear, pull, hold back, pull, hold back at almost 1 second intervals and not nice to drive in traffic, almost like big turbo lag pulling away.
Since I had the cars its had :-
New Turbo/actuator
New return and feed pipes
New tandem fuel pump
then on Monday it was discovered the car had been badly? mapped before and the boost control solenoid was faulty.
A new solenoid was fitted and the car mapped by Audi specialist.
Collected and drove home like a dream, poss not as quick in 3/4th as before but still very good and nice in traffic, and then fine Tuesday and Wednesday.
This morning I started it and again it flashed something in the display too quick to read and beeped, done this a couple of times after I first got it, then as soon as I pulled out of drive I felt a jolt in 1st, jolt in 2nd and then sure enough on bypass it was back to hesitating, came home for lunch and same, almost felt like didnt want to rev up when in traffic, called garage and asked me to go back
BUT
then when left work, back to good and drove like a dream all the way there, perfect
Turned it off and then when drove home, not as bad but didnt feel right or fast as before.
The garage said to drive it a couple of days and then if does it again take it back and they would keep it a couple of days and test as possibly MAF or boost control sensor.
Can anyone please give any ideas what the hell could be going on? as I am witts end
