Turbo not kicking in!

have you VAG com or something to look at the error codes..
It could be N75, .. it could be a lot of things

Yeah I'd check the waste gate, make sure it's not mechanically jammed, if it's not that then you need to look at VAG-COM and establish what the ECU doing and why. Sounds like limp mode almost.
Wouls the N75 cause this kind of problem if it was fcuked??
When he took it to AmD, he got a VAG1551 printout and there were 2 faults... One bein the MAF which he had just replaced so the fualt was old... and the other being a sporadic fault on the boost pressure solenoid (N75)...
I think this may be the cause (hopefully) but hes taking it to AmD on wednesday to get it sorted anyway.

Yes the wastegate is controlled by the N75 solenoid so it could well be the problem.
No idea on the price though, but I think the part number is - 058 906 283 C - which is a change over valve according to the ETKA parts CD, so sounds correct, but as I'm not overly sure of the location in ral life it's hard to be sure. It gives you somewhere to start checking with the dealer anyway.
