S3 service costs

Just called to get the car serviced. 74K on the clock, Audi have quoted £320 for the service. They said if i want to do the cambelt at the same time add another £500 on top of the £320. This seems a bit steep.

Should i get the service done at Audi so that i get the stamp in the book and then take it elsewhere for the Cambelt?

I'm also i need of 4 new tyres, so this is going to be nasty right ontop of christmas,

That seems a huge amount, had mine serviced by an independant (Star Performance) and paid £480 for the service AND the cambelt (including water pump) and haldex service.

Depends how old the car is and whether it's still under Audi warranty to validate that amount.

Try Audi Specialists, they are just above Newmarket. Cambelt change including tenioner is about £200 i think. If i remember right a 20k service is also around £200 so you could get both done for between £400 and £500
