DSG Manual Query

I've been driving in manual recently to get used to it and there is a noticeable lag when using the steering paddles that isn't there when using the gearstick.

Has anyone else noticed that on theirs?

I think there is a lag when changing down if you have no pressure on the accelerator. Mine certainly does anyway. If I squeeze a bit I get a faster gear change.

Cant say i have, should be the same, i know mine is.

If you ask it of a gear that its not prepared for, then yes a pause, but i always plan waaaay ahead...

It changes down slower as it revs the engine to match the lower gear.
