Recently had my car scanned at work on a VAS machineReturned several faults ( will upload the file tomorrow )
  • 1 - Front lambda sensor - open circuit
  • 2 - Steering angle sensor - open circuit
  • 3 - NGR valve.
Now, i've just read a thread and a wiki on the rosstech site for the Steering angle sensor http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A3_(8L)_Brake_Electronics_(MK20)My
  • Question is, before i start spending money, is it possible the sensor has gone and needs replacing or is it more likely to need programming?
  • Any information regarding this and the other issues would be greatly appreciated, my mrs is pregnant with our first and i love the car but i need to make the sensible decision here :(

Defective
Sporadic

The sporadic error suggests a fault with the sensor I think, if it was a programming fault it would likely say something along the lines of No/Incorrect basic setting.
