It's the rear anti roll bar we're talking about here. Increasing rear roll stiffness reduces understeer. So the car is much sharper and more responsive. The parts cost about £100 or so, and you shouldn't pay more than the same again to get it fitted. Pound for pound, the best mod to be done to any A4 by far.RS4 ARB is it made of gold jesus?!?! well expensive. what difference does it provide anyway?
does it benefit FWD as much as a quattro?
Yes, definitely. I've fitted it on both.
I don't have them handy but a search of this or the B6 forum should locate them pretty soon.Do you have the part number(s) handy?
look at that after remap i think. Thanks

1 x RS4 Rear Anti-Roll Bar (Part #8E0511409AL)
2 x RS4 Rear ARB Bushings (Part #8E0511327D)

4 x Bolts for Brackets (Part #N10127707)
2 x Bolts for ARB links (Part #N10528103)
2 x Drop Links (Part #8E0505465AF)
i assume thats all parts needed to fit if i took it to my specialist. stuff audi fitting it then it will cost gold bullion lol.
THanks mate appreciate you finding that
You will need the other bits too really as the RS4 anti roll bar is thicker than the one you will have so the bushes will be different.
The only costly bit in the kit is the roll bar itself. The rest is pretty cheap to be honest...
I have the standard S Line springs which are firm already. Would this do much in this case to change it..

PS - are those bolt numbers audi parts?
On the subject of S Line springs, they are notoriously firm and jolty on the B7 A4, so much so that a lot of S Line owners on here have replaced them with after-market springs by Eibach or H&R. They give a much smoother and more absorbent ride without losing any of the handling poise. I have an SE and fitted Eibach springs for lowering purposes; got the additional benefit of better handling with no loss of ride comfort.

got the parts priced up just now for the full RS4 ARB kit but tere are two sizes of ARB from the 07 RS4. 20mm and 22mm... should i use common sense and go for 20mm as my S Line one is 18mm.... ?
I seem to recall the 20mm bar is for the S4, and the 22mm is for the RS4. Get the 22mm bar.
