Trouble Erasing codes

Hi can someone point me in the right direction. I'm having trouble erasing codes i'll try and put a photo of the scanner that I'm using up saying how down the scan button for free second and it should erase the code I have tried all of this and is not working any help would be great many thanks.

Have you fixed the fault that's causing the error code?

There's normally an erase option, and you press the enter button to do so. Well that's how mine works, and it's the same part from colour
Edit# mine isn't exactly the same, mines just a basic reader not a vwaudi handset

Yes had a very bad air leak and over bits so annoying it won't do it

Does it show up ERASE FAIL? Or does it not do anything.

I had the same problems with mine. Ive put different computers on it and tried to erase the lamda sensors codes after I've changed them and couldn't do it. Somebody pointed me to one garage who has the audi/vw/seat computer. He done it for me and since then int got any problems at all.

Yes it does not even say erase or fail I know it was cheap but thought it would erase the codes it found the codes ok confused.com ??

I'm stumped, perhaps it just cannot delete the code, and you need specialist software to do so. There are sub levels that you can choose to go into, so when you search for codes and try and erase them are you in the correct sub menu?
