Hi all just wonderin what starter motor you guys would recomend on my 2.0 fsi 8p, euro car parts have bosch at 118.00 so seems reasonable. Swappin it over in hope it will cure my warm start problem as changing the temp sensor and es sensor have both drawn a blank any advice much appreciated thanks. Tony

Disconnect the engine temp sensor and start engine when hot...
If it starts as from cold then it needs a hot start fix to the engine map
If no different then it needs a new starter
If it starts as from cold then it needs a hot start fix to the engine map

Oh ok.. interesting, i had seen something about a remap, something about not injecting petrol at a certain temp?

Give it a try before spending cash on a new starter...
Mine had the same issues, 2.0TDi BKD though, unplugged temp sensor & started fine so had the hot start remap (along with stage 1 & EGR removal) and it's been fine ever since

this has just started to happen to mine. Let me know how you get on i have ordered the temp sensors to fit this week

Finally had time to try it this morning, run car upto temp, disconnected engine temp sensor, started 1st time 7 out of 10 times (same as before) so looks like a new starter needed. Thanks for your advise.
