Weak dv

Hi,

what would actually be the symptoms of a weak dv ?

Had the car mapped recently and I've still got the oem dv on the car, it was brand new fitted about 2 months ago.

Just been out in the car and was accelerating hard, as the revs got to about 5k the engine felt like it stuttered and power was gone so I change gear and backed off, car seemed fine, then I held the car in 3rd at about 3k and I could feel stuttering again, bit paranoid as I've lost one engine in the past.

Haven't had a chance to check for codes yet, just wanted to see if it could possibly be the oem dv.

Coil packs should be ok too,

Doubt its anything to do with the dv... they either work or don't...

Get it scanned... cut like that sounds like an over boost issue or MAF

Yeah ok, cheers Tuffty, I'll take it easy home and check the codes in the morning.

Do you recommend me putting my forge 007 back on the car anyway or is the oem ok, seem to remember a thread saying the revised oem dv is fine for a mapped car ??

Right, I've checked the codes and I've got

16712 knock sensor 1 signal to high

16717 knock sensor 2 signal to high

F&@cking marvellous, just over a week into being mapped again and I'm getting these codes, I know they're not nice looking codes, I've had a knock sensor fault on the last engine but never on this and never "both" knock sensors,

Any ideas as to why I could be getting these codes ??
