hi all i am new to this
my car sat for 9 days while I was on holiday I came back to it start it up and about 5 miles along the road it lost power and the glow plug light was flashing on the dash so I turned off then back on again after 5 mins and it was ok, I went to drive it 5 hours later and same again but the engine warning light came on and wouldn't go away!
so I took It to the local garage and the plugged it into the computer and they say its the EGR valve but its right under the engline on my model so is going to take hours to get to whats the best thing I should do ?
get the garage just just replace it at probably £700
or get one of my friends to take it off clean it out and see if that works ?
