Ake engine removal time

Need to replace clutch and flywheel in the quattto! I have done clutches before, but don't fancy being under a huge gearbox this time!

So what is a realistic time for getting the engine out?

i had mine done at a garage for 225 quid and it took 1 day start to finish, i supplied the parts.

I see it when Audi did my DMFW and Clutch, its not as bad a job as you think, But its not a job you want to be doing rolling around under the car, dont you have a Rent-A-Ramp near you ?

I did it this way on mine, on a 1.9 tdi, rather than dissemble the transmission and dropping the box, crawling round under the car. Spent 3.5 days doing it but I also serviced everything, did a bit of tinkering, and also fitted a new cat (had to grind off rusted bolts) and intercooler. Lots of learning as it was the first time I'd taken the car apart properly.

If I had to do it again, maybe a day and a half max to do it, now I know how all it all bolts together.
