Non OEM ambient lighting

Hi, anyone fitted non OEM ambient lighting into the B7 door cards etc ,
Looking to do this mod if possible without affecting car showing up errors

I fitted a single red led in my door handles on my last car and I much preferred it to the OEM ambient leds I have now, OEM ones are barely even noticeable.



Also did my front and back footwell lights with led strip,




And the boot so I could actually see it in when it was dark


Pretty sure the canbus doesn't cover the interior so you don't need to worry about errors, I certainly didn't have any although the way I wired them might have helped.

Would love your advice on exactly how you did this mate please I also am looking at putting lights behind my silver door trims to try and get the same look as the Q7 .
