Gear surround

Hi guys.

Looking to paint all my chrome bits piano black with some flexiable vinyl paint.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the chrome surround by the gear knob?

Also the chrome strip in front of the passenger seat does that just pop off?

The gear surround just pulls out mate, as for the chrome strip .... do you mean the inlay strip above glove compartment?
