Brake pad warning light sensor 8p3 2007

Brake pad warning light is on.

The wear sensor is fine- has continuity so is a closed circuit

No continuity on the loom, so open circuit.

twisted wires together, light stays on

I assume there is a break in the cable further up, is there a guide how to short it out further up? Ive searched but can't find any for this car.

Just turn it off in vcds..
