Off topic but where is the ccm and is it like the b5/5.5 passats and under the passenger footwell carpet? Does it suffer from the water drain issue in the battery compartment?

You have to re-sync the keys again (changed mine last week).

How I do that I watch something on u tube about holding down the unlock button while key in ignition but tried thst and it didn't work

That's the one I followed yesterday when it says turn to on position is that so the ignition lights are on

Yes ignition on.
It took me about ten goes to get it to work on both keys (could get 1 to work easily but not both).

Do you have vagcom? You might want to line all the codes up with your car.

Yes have vagcom but am new to it so not sure wat u mean by line codes up
Log into the right section, I can't remember if it's 46 or not.
Check that you have the relevant options added on your coding. I fitted one once and it was 00000. So I had nothing, no alarm or anything enabled.

All I have ever done to re sync key is to lock and unlock drivers door and all has been good.
