That is excellent to hear. I've only had mine a week so no idea if it has been done as of yet. I'm collecting parts to make the loom for the LED number plate lights in the morning so I'll enquire. You may of read but I've had mine done and so far it's been spot on.

Ha ha, I have drunk enough coffee at VAG dealerships over the years to fill an ocean! It helps when you're there for work related things. First time as an actual customer last Friday and it's a very different experience!Blag a free coffee while there be rude not to

imo driving my car (as we all know our own cars) yeah mines sweet so far.Audi/VAG appears to be starting with the newer effected vehicles and working backwards. I’ve had several “holding” letters but nothing else. My main concern is that the “software update” will spoil my economy or performance (both of which I find great at present) or cause some injector or DPF issue, neither of which have ever previously been an issue for me. From the posts so far it sounds as if there is no noticeable problem or performance downgrade? Would that be a fair conclusion?
i really can't believe what people put on here. My A4 went in a couple of weeks ago, i've tried really hard but i can't see, feel, notice any difference! They'll be no increase in VED, no out of pocket expenses, increased fuel costs or any higher chance of it needing future repair. The only thing I can see is devalue - there are so many effected cars over different marques and why would it alter the value anyway? The car isn't doing any less than it was before and virtually no one cares how clean diesels are....In fact we all know they are cancer machines.
And Audi are going out of their way to correct the issue free of charge, at massive expense to themselves. What's the problem? You don't even need to take them up on the offer of recall. There is ZERO effect to the consumer, the effect and cost is to regulations due to fines and reputational damage.
Had the Emission update done and to be honest it is difficult tell any immediate change.
Forgot to mention it on may last post, NO goodie bag left in the car! Emailed the dealership about this, as yet no reply..
Might just be me @S.line but why if you were and still were planning on running a tuning box did you get it done in the first place?Had mine done last week. Running dtuk tuning box but disconnected it for update. They marked a sheet saying tuning box fitted. Re connected box and car seems to be drinking deisel!! Anyone else? It's a 2010 170tdi

Oh right. At the moment it's not, but wording on letters I received the tone of the letters changed. Tax wise unless the whole system is redone can't see it yet.I thought it was mandatory and if not done then car tax could go up? Perhaps the tuning box will need tweaking.
