interior light issue

morning all

hopefully this is just a quick fix but lastnight i got in the car 2002 s3 and switched the headlights on but the light that lights up around the headlight switch in the car is not working and also the red lights all around the climate control unit have gone really dimm

are the two related in anyway ie...running from the same fuse as i aint got a clue whats happend??

i know they go dim if the plug from the dimmer isn't plugged in properly...

for them not working... check fuses i guess?

ok pal cheers was kind of hoping it wasnt going to be a big job and hopefully it is il check fuses and also check connection behind the switch itself

not played with the lighting dimmer on the light switch? does the brightness change when used?

i have this same issue, just started on the weekend. also my glovebox light and cigarette lighter have both stopped working. did you find the cause?

i did have the lower part of the drivers side dash off the other day, wonder if I have knocked something. the little wheel that dims the lights still works for dimming the cluster just nothing else. checked all fuses and all are fine.
