My battery light stays on longer than usual first thing in the morning and when the car has been left all day. Sometimes I need to rev the car to get the light out. if i use the car throughout the day the light goes off instantly as expected.
Battery voltage is 12.7V
Running voltage is just over 14V although when the light is on it is 11.49V which the voltage of the battery when it cranks over
Any ideas before i go and spend lots on alternator etc
Car is 2008/09 2.0 tdi 170bhp
