my car is suffering from misfiring while driving, it drops power for a split second then picks up again and it also it hesitant when starting and you have to be really gentle with it to get a smooth start.
I'm thinking the ignition coil pack is faulty, can I use rs3 ones as a replacement ? And where's the best place to get them from?

Have you checked/changed the plugs?

That's the other usual cause.
Red top RS packs are often used, but are no better than stock.

Should you decide to purchase the R8 coil packs, the best price that I can see for guaranteed genuine items is at AKS tuning. These are imported from USA. Be aware that not all of the coil packs advertised on the Internet are stamped with OEM logos and part numbers even though they are are advertised as genuine items.
