Just in the process of renewing my PCV piping before my car goes for mapping next month. I'm using a combination of new OE parts and 034motorsports silicone hose kit.

Can anyone see any reason why I cannot or should not get rid of the hard plastic pipes that feed the brake servo? I could just run it straight to the inlet manifold? Car is a 2003 BAM, so from the research I've done I shouldn't need another check valve as there is one at the servo already...?

That would leave me able to blank off the outlet (for the hard piping) on the suction pump 058-133-753B at the bottom of the picture.

I'm just curious as to why Audi would set it up like that, when all that seems to be required is a simple vacuum source for the brake servo.

Any advice welcomed.

EDIT - Looking at it now, if I was to put the brake servo vacuum straight onto the inlet manifold, everything from the t-piece 035-103-245-A onwards for the hard lines could be done away with...?
