For the third time in 18 months the warning light has come on and I assume its the same one again. Just a pain each time to take the cluster apart to change a bulb. Any reason why its the same one each time?
That must've got very boring very quickly! All I can think of is to give the connector a ****** good clean and try a different brand of bulb if you haven't already, just in case it's the bulb rather than the car.
Very odd, water, vibration and high voltage can knock out a bulb so check those causes first. Other than that, different brand of bulb is worth trying.
older type bulb holders had melted plastic and the connection would suffer. Did you change the "bad" bulb to another location to see if it is the bulb or the socket? I changed my bulb holders after 6 years for similar reasons and no issues. The units are cheap enough
