Hey guys,

I have a 13 plate audi a1, bought from a reputable garage (skoda main dealership) last year.
I think the cam belt is due soon so I was looking for the service book and can't seem to find it!

I dont think the garage i bought from supplied me with one.
They just gave me an a4 sheet printed with "Service History Certificate" on it?? That just states what type of service it has had, the date and the milage at the time. It doesn't state where this work was carried out.

The car has just had 1 previous owner and I know which Audi dealership the car was bought from originally.
Can I just pop into the main audi dealership where the car was bought from and request a new service book and for them to stamp it accordingly if it has had its service from them?

What is the best way ahead?

thanks for your help in advance!

If you approach the Audi dealership who did the first service they should be able to give you a print out off what they did to your car and whilst your there discuss getting a new service book and see if they would stamp from when they did or if they give you print out keep with book and after that if there is a good bit off miles between there service and the other one , i would approach garage you bought car off of and ask them to get a hold off the service they did to see what has been done and compare to your new service book from Audi incase they havent done all they should have

Are you sure it would have had a service book and not electronic record? I have my 8V serviced by an independent and bought a new service book from Ebay and use that. You may have to accept that not all of the record will be complete in the book but so long as you have that printout there should be no problem. I have the same issue with the Pre delivery inspection, I can see it on 'My Audi' but have to keep the paperwork in the log book.
